Job Overview:

The Knowledge Management Specialist leads the development and implementation of knowledge management strategies to optimize information flow and enhance collaboration across the organization. They work collaboratively with teams to identify knowledge gaps, curate knowledge repositories, and facilitate the adoption of best practices for knowledge sharing. Additionally, they will contribute to fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing knowledge management practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge management strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain centralized knowledge repositories, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and relevance of information.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on knowledge management principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives, implementing adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate knowledge management practices into business processes and workflows.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in knowledge management, applying insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaboration through targeted communication and engagement activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or foreign equivalent in Information Management, Business Administration, or related field; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record in knowledge management, information management, or relevant fields.
  • Proficiency in knowledge management tools, software, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
